Curso avanzado de fotografía en el medio marino

El Curso cuenta con la colaboración de la Federació Catalana de Vela, el Centre Municipal de Vela y Casanovas Fotografía

El Museo Marítimo de Barcelona organiza un programa de cursos y talleres de fotografía de mar destinados al público interesado en aprender o mejorar la técnica y la composición fotográfica a bordo de una embarcación así como la relación del fotógrafo con el medio marino. Las sesiones serán impartidas por Diego Yriarte, fotógrafo y periodista especializado en náutica y profesor de fotografía.

Luis Fernández (La mar salada blog) recibe la distinción de “Fotógrafo del Año”

La Gala de Vela que organiza la Real Federación Española de Vela ha premiado en el apartado de Medios de Comunicación a Luis Fernández, administrador del blog La mar salada “… en virtud a sus méritos, figurando en el Cuadro de Honor de esta edición”. Junto a La mar salada han sido premiados en este apartado el programa Teledeporte de Televisión Española y Onda Cero Galicia.

PHOTOGRAPHER THIERRY MARTINEZ AWARDED “YACHT RACING IMAGE OF THE YEAR, PRESENTED BY MIRABAUD”

14 December 2011 – The annual award for the best yacht racing photograph was presented to French photographer Thierry Martinez today at the World Yacht Racing Forum, the annual meeting place for yachting professionals, held in Estoril, Portugal from 13 to 14 December.

Forty photographers competed for the title of “Yacht Racing Image of the Year, presented by Mirabaud”, among them some of the best yachting photographers in the world. The images were viewed by over 25,000 people over a period of two weeks and judged by 2,500 who cast their vote via the World Yacht Racing Forum website and the event’s Facebook page. World Yacht Racing Forum guests also voted and the decision was unanimous.

The spectacular award-winning photograph features Nathan Outridge, Moth and 49er world champion, racing the Moth world championships in Belmont, Australia in January 2011.
Thierry Martinez has been photographing yachts since 1987 and has covered almost every sailing discipline over the years from dinghies to the Volvo Ocean Race and the America’s Cup. This is the second year running that the 56 year old has won the award.

“I am very happy to win this award again,” he said. “It is the only award dedicated to our sport and I consider it a great honour. It is the reward for one photograph, which I humbly accept, but it also symbolises my passion for yacht racing and marine photography which have been at the heart of my life for 25 years.”

“We are delighted to award this title to the photographer Thierry Martinez,” said Antonio Palma, CEO and partner of Mirabaud, private bankers. “All of the photographs submitted to the competition were of a very high standard and the choice was a difficult one. The public chose an image that reflects the current trends – spectacular, daring and dynamic.”

Fotón del chileno Rodrigo Fernández del S40 Lancer Evo en la pasada Off Valparaíso de Chile

Esta foto de Matias Capizzano es una de las 25 fotos pre seleccionadas. La misma corresponde al S40 Cefín Capital en la etapa de Buzios de la Mitsubishi Cup, y si no me equivoco, en la trabuchada siguiente el Celfín partía el mástil.
Yo ya puse mi voto, pero por respeto a todos los fotógrafos que me ayudan a hacer el blog cada día lo voy a mantener en secreto.

YACHT RACING IMAGE OF THE YEAR 2011

7 November 2011 – Sailing enthusiasts are invited to vote for their favourite image from a shortlist of photographs selected for the ‘Yacht Racing Image of the Year 2011’ presented by Mirabaud & Cie Private Bankers. The winning image will be announced during the 4th World Yacht Racing Forum from 13-14 December in Estoril, Portugal.

The shortlist was chosen from over forty images submitted by professional yacht racing photographers from around the world. Viewers are invited to vote for their favourite image either on Facebook or online via the World Yacht Racing Forum website.

Started in 2009 during the World Yacht Racing Forum, the ‘Yacht Racing Image of the Year’ award recognises the very best yacht racing image taken during the year, and which best represents the essence and excitement of yacht racing as a sport.
